Date: 24th April, 2023
The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) and the Indian Society of Advertisers (ISA) jointly hosted the IAA & ISA Retrospect & Prospects event in Mumbai. The event featured Manish Anandani, Managing Director – India, Kenvue (erstwhile Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health) as the keynote speaker.
The event was presented by Kenvue, with ABP News and Fortune Edible Oils and Foods as supporting partners.
Manish Anandani emphasized the unique momentum within the Indian FMCG sector, noting:
“We are seeing ‘Many Indias’ with several consumer cohorts, making it imperative for brands to design personalised, customised, and immersive campaigns to better engage with these audiences. Sustainability, purpose, and transparency are now top priorities for the conscious consumer—and these will continue to shape the marketing agenda.”
He highlighted how factors such as India’s young population, urbanization, and a growing middle class are opening up tremendous opportunities for brands like Johnson’s Baby, Stayfree, and Neutrogena to grow and innovate.
Avinash Pandey, President, IAA India Chapter and CEO, ABP Network, spoke on the spirit of collaboration, “IAA has always been at the forefront of activities that benefit from MarCom industry. Be it the leadership awards or this annual program, we have taken path-breaking initiatives. On that note we conducted the first IAA and ISA program, and I am sure this model will be appreciated”
Sunil Kataria, Chairman, ISA, and CEO, Raymond’s Lifestyle Business, added:
“An insightful presentation by Manish Anandani, diving into both macro and micro opportunities of India’s growth story—from GDP and demographics to digitalization and evolving consumer behavior—offered valuable perspectives for our IAA and ISA audience preparing for the future.
