‘AI Must Serve Humanity, Not Rule It’: Sanjay Pradhan Calls for Ethical Leadership at IAA Event

The International Advertising Association (IAA) and Artificial Intelligence Association of India (AIAI), in association with The Free Press Journal, organised ‘IAA Conversations’ with Dr. Sanjay Pradhan, President of the World Forum for Ethics in Business (WFEB), on 7 March 2026 at Free Press House in Mumbai.

Addressing a packed audience, Dr. Pradhan highlighted the transformative power of AI while warning about risks such as disinformation, bias, privacy concerns, and job displacement. He stressed that the real challenge is ensuring AI is guided by ethics, responsibility, and human values, urging collaboration among businesses, governments, and individuals. He also introduced WFEB’s AI Ethics Partnership, aimed at promoting responsible AI globally.

Giving the inaugural address, Abhishek Karnani, President of IAA India Chapter, said AI must be understood and used ethically to determine whether it becomes a friend or foe. Dr. Sandeep Goyal, Managing Director of Rediffusion and National Convenor of AIAI, added that the session addressed key dilemmas around AI and served as a pre-launch initiative by AIAI in partnership with IAA.
