IAA Social: #Campaign4Good
Date: 29th August 2019, Mumbai
In order to harness communication for social good, the International Advertising Association (IAA) India Chapter partnered with Rotary District 3141 to launch the “Campaign For Good.” This initiative aimed to raise awareness about elder care and encourage younger generations to recognize and address the needs of their elders.
As highlighted by Abhishek Karnani, Chairman of the IAA Awards Committee, this year’s awards introduced a special category to spotlight campaigns that contribute to societal change. The ‘Campaign For Good’ awards honored initiatives that celebrated elders—individuals who have dedicated much of their lives to raising children—and showcased how young adults express their love and appreciation for them.
The top honor was awarded to “Good Ol’ Fridays,” a campaign created by Adamya Mody, Kanchan Kesari, Reet Sawhney, and Sanjana Dora of Ogilvy. Other notable campaigns that were shortlisted include “Oldies Just Want To Have Fun” by Sayasi Ghosh and Satyajeet More, and “Lovewithoutfilter” by Yash Ambre.
This initiative underscores the power of creative communication in fostering societal well-being and highlights the importance of intergenerational respect and care.
