The India Chapter of International Advertising Association (IAA-IC) conducted its maiden 'Olive Crown Awards' at the Goafest, on 9th April 2011.

Most of the industry CEOs graced the function with Sir John Hegarty as the guest of honour and Bittu Sahgal as the chief guest.

Dentsu won the Green Agency of the Year Award. Bittu Sahgal was awarded the first IAA Olive Crown Green Crusader Award.

A total of 253 entries were received in all from agencies and advertisers. Aircel was declared the ‘Green Advertiser of the Year'. Idea and Nokia shared the 'Green Brand of the Year' Gold for ‘Save Paper - Use Mobile' and ‘Planet Ke Rakhwale - Mobile Recycle', respectively. The 'Green Brand Award' was judged in consultation with TERI, the Knowledge Partner.

Bhupal Ramnathkar of Umbrella Design, designed the Olive Crown logo and the unique crown shaped trophy.

The eminent panel of judges comprising Bobby Pawar - Mudra, B Ramnathkar, Umbrella, Gangadharan Menon, Ex Creative Director /Wild Life photographer and Activist, Lynn de Souza Lintas, Media/animal activist, Russell Barrett, BBH, Saumya Sen, Ex Creative Director / developmental Filmmaker/Activist, Sumanto Chattapadhyay, O&M, was led by Sam Balsara as the Chairman of the judging committee.
