IAA Interactive Session with Deepak Kapoor, Chairman, PwC India at Mumbai

IAA India Chapter’s Young Professionals (YP) interacted with Deepak Kapoor, Chairman, PwC India, as part of the ongoing interactive series.
Mr. Kapoor talked about the importance of specialization at a time when generalists abound. He also provided the perspective that PwC could be looked at like a business of selling quality hours coupled with strong domain knowledge, with a thorough understanding of the problems which keep clients awake in the middle of the night.
In the context of the Satyam crisis, he mentioned the importance of ‘Keeping it Cool’, having a long term vision and a strong value system. Talking about employees, he said,” Employees must have the purpose within the organization then only they will be able to solve the problems and leave the legacy behind.”
He touched on hiring the right candidate, respecting employee rights with zero tolerance and comprise on ethics at all levels.
